A twin broadsword pattern or Shuang Dao of the Five Animals Style. As short range weapons both the broadsword and the straight sword could be used as part of a pair, with one sword attacking and other supporting in a Father Son principle. When swords were doubled up in this way the focus shifted from the arms to the stance; the legs had to be sure in movement and stable at rest to allow both arms to be used simultaneously and effectively. The practitioner here is using light practice swords, their metal is made to flex and snap audibly with each movement.
