The key to Mian Style is to have supple and strong joints. Many of the basic fighting exercises train flexibility, but the style also incorporates specific exercises to develop the joints. In this sequence, Master Chen shows a movement that twists the joints like a rope, twisting them one way and then the other. This is a key principle for power generation in Mian Style.
